Digital Cutting Operatives

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and skilled operator to join our team working with advanced CAD- based cutting machinery and digital production technologies .The role involves operating equipment such as Kongsberg Elitron and Zund with opportunities to expand into digital print asset management . No experience No worries we are happy to train the right person.

You will be responsible for preparing and executing cutting jobs using CAD software ensuring precision and quality across various materials.

Experience with digital cutting systems is preferred and training will be provided for candidates eager to learn and grow within a dynamic production environment .

Health and safety is a very important aspect within our business and you will be accountable for your own and others health and safety whilst at work operating within the DS Smith safe systems of work guidelines.

Within your role as a Digital Cutting Operative you are key to ensuring that productivity is exceptional and your attention to detail ensures that the quality of the work leads to minimal errors and that we have satisfied clients while working within tight deadlines. You need to ensure that the maintenance and cleaning tasks on the machines are planned to ensure maximum output.

The role requires you to work with a variety personnel within your area of production and work with the teams in the other departments across the site.

About you

• Preferred experience but not essential as training will be given working with and operating industrial machinery within a manufacturing environment.

• Preferred experience but not essential as training will be given working with die cutting machinery and understanding job specs

• Working knowledge of good health and safety practices

• Proven experience of working towards KPIs and deadlines within a fast-paced environment

• Effective communication skills; both written and verbally

• Excellent attention to detail

• The ability to make informed decisions

Location: Ely On site Monday to Friday

Hours: Mon to Fri - 40hrs rotating pattern 0600-1400 /1400-2200 or

Permanent nights Mon Fri 40hrs - 22.00-06.00
