Summary:
The Project Supervisor - Recycling is a supervisory and project support role critical to the North London Waste Authoritys (NLWA) mission of preserving resources and the environment for future generations. This role is responsible for supporting the successful planning coordination and delivery of the Authoritys contamination reduction and recycling education plan cite: About the role. The Supervisor provides essential project management support stakeholder engagement data analysis and schedule planning to ensure the recycling education program meets its contractual objectives.
The post-holder will supervise a team of Recycling Advisors coordinate their daily activities and report on progress. NLWA staff are employed by the London Borough of Camden and benefit from Camdens recruitment pension and HR policies
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Recycling Advisors proactively identifying and reporting issues encountered during routine duties
- Organise the recycling advisor team in coordinating tasks tracking progress and preparing regular reports and updates
- Assist in the development and delivery of the Authoritys contamination reduction and recycling education
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of service trials and pilots gathering feedback and reporting on outcomes
- Support the Strategy & Services Team in other related tasks and initiatives to improve waste and recycling services
- Help gather analyse and present data to inform decision-making (e.g. number of households contacted service requirements communications needs)
Essentials:
- Educated to A-level or equivalent
- Relevant training in customer service community engagement or sustainability is desirable
- Experience of working in a project support or coordination role ideally within a public service or environmental context
- Experience of collating data accurately simple analysis and reporting (e.g. surveys CRM systems Excel)
- Experience with line management responsibility for a team or supervising staff
