We are seeking Serbian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Serbian is a critical language in immigration and asylum proceedings requiring professional interpreters with linguistic precision and cultural understanding.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Serbian English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews hearings and official proceedings.
Interpret with accuracy impartiality and professionalism in immigration legal and administrative contexts.
Adhere to USCIS/DHS compliance and confidentiality standards.
Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests.
Participate in training compliance refreshers and QA audits.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Serbian and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration legal medical or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics confidentiality and cultural awareness.
Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 security clearance.
