Job Summary

Description

The Clerical II position has a primary responsibility of processing transcripts and diplomas. Candidates must be proficient in professional knowledge and skills for clerical duties such using data bases for entry and data processing records processing preparing spreadsheets filing typing answering telephone calls distributing mail and operating office equipment.



Responsibilities
  • Performs clerical duties such as filing typing data processing preparing spreadsheets answering telephones distributing mail and operating office equipment.
  • Reviews prepares and processes records forms applications and similar documents according to rules regulations policies and procedures.
  • Codes enters and retrieves information using database systems and software.
  • Gathers information required for reports.
  • Reviews documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Sets up and maintains databases spreadsheets and logs. Enters and retrieves information from databases. Organizes and maintains electronic and paper document filing systems.
  • Provides general assistance in the interpretation of office or departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education Training and Experience:

  • Possession of a high school diploma or appropriate equivalent. Two years of office clerical experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of office terminology procedures and equipment.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate computers and related software for the purpose of data entry.
  • Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Knowledge of using Adobe Acrobat to edit and combine documents.
  • Ability to adapt to established procedures and to work with extreme accuracy in checking posting computing and filing.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide customer service.

Citizenship residency or work VISA in United States required.


SALARY: Contractual - $18.54 per hour/37.5 hours per week

    • All people employed by the Baltimore County Public Schools regular and temporary are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background investigation (per COMAR) completed. The fee charged for fingerprinting is $109.
    • Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US.
    • Official transcripts will be required upon hire and must be sent via escript/clearinghouse from your university.
