Faculty in the C.S. Mott Department of Public Health based in Flint MI are seeking a Research Coordinator to assist in the implementation of multiple health-related research projects. This position will entail the following:
Coordinating activities to help ensure research and related activities are performed in accordance with federal regulations and university and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.
Ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities and as the principle operational liaison for other research organizations funding agencies and regulating bodies.
Managing IRB protocols across multi-site research studies. Data entry manuscript preparation budgeting for ongoing and newly developing research studies related to substance use health disparities and telehealth.
Recruiting consenting and enrolling participants into research studies and tracking their progress over time.
Planning implementing and maintaining data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocol; may coordinate the collection and analysis of research data.
Developing and maintaining records of research activities and preparing periodic and ad hoc reports as required by investigators administrators funding agencies and/or regulatory bodies.
The Research Coordinator must be able to interact effectively with community members work comfortably with new technologies and smartphones collaborate with members of a large research team and have strong research and time management skills. This position will also require regulatory and data management experience.
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through completion of one or two years of post-bachelor degree work such as a Masters in Public Health; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in research methodologies writing reports supervision software data interpretation and handling in area related to research being performed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Masters degree 1 year of experience working on federally-funded research projects. Experience with recruiting participants IRB coordination database management manuscript writing and in working with health disparities communities.
