Job Profile Summary

Department Overview:

The Credit Risk Disclosure & Analysis group produces a wide array of insights reporting deliverables and analyses including materials for external stakeholders (including regulators) the Chief Risk Officer and Risk Management Leadership Team (RMLT) to aid their preparation for quarterly earnings calls and various conferences/presentations; and the Board of line with our mandate we work closely with a broad set of stakeholders across the Enterprise including Risk Management Finance Investor Relations and the Business lines.

Job Overview

This high-profile role is responsible for a variety of risk reporting materials with a focus on value-add insights/analysis including preparation of materials for the Board of Directors/Risk Committee of the Board CRO RMLT and Senior leadership across the organization. This role requires frequent interaction with executives and is well-suited for a mature and strategic communicator with a high degree of initiative and strong relationship management skills.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Produce presentations including deliverables for the external quarterly earnings material as well as drafting key messaging and speaking notes to support CRO presentations at quarterly and ad hoc meetings/conferences (e.g. Board of Directors Risk Committee of the Board senior leadership etc.)
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to proactively identify key emerging risk areas for the Bank/industry compile supporting information by conducting internal and external research and produce presentations/communications/messaging to be referenced by the Chief Risk Officer and other stakeholders.
  • Lead a high-performing team of Risk professionals to drive value-added analysis and identify key areas of insights to support key external and internal messaging.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the Enterprise including the RMLT and their respective groups to aid the preparation of the CRO for the earnings call or related events including validation of key credit metrics and drivers providing recommendations for disclosures including the MD&A investigating and solving complex issues and preparing executive level messaging.
  • Provide necessary support for the Enterprise Credit Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) process including:
    • Coordinating the annual credit RAS refresh/updated and RAS scorecard evaluation including engaging segment stakeholders and presentation to senior executives for endorsement.
    • Monitoring quarterly compliance across the enterprise identifying excesses and escalating to senior leadership and the Board of Directors as appropriate.
  • Provide necessary support for the annual review of TD by Rating Agencies including drafting the annual presentation preparing executive speaking notes and drafting materials to support Q&A.
  • As a key member of the highly dynamic Credit Risk Disclosure & Analysis team the incumbent will:
    • Participate fully as a member of the team support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business quality innovation and teamwork. Contribute to a fair positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce
    • Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and keep current on emerging trends and grow knowledge of the businesses

    • Lead motivate and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop productive working relationships.

Job requirements

  • Undergraduate degree. A CFA CPA MBA or similar designation is preferred
  • 7 years relevant experience
  • Recognized as top levelexpert with experience providing advisory services to senior executives
  • Strong analytic communications (written verbal and visualizations) and presentation skills and the ability to solve unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact often on tight deadlines.
  • Organization awareness and the ability to leverage the Bank to locate analyze and synthesize complex information both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Strong talent development and leadership skills with a track record of leading high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence others
  • Knowledge of credit risk measurement and reporting (e.g. loans trading treasury and mitigation products) and or Capital Markets experience.
