Position Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Precertification Assistant to join our this position you will be responsible for obtaining and managing insurance precertification for surgical procedures. This role involves submitting and following up on requests with patients insurance carriers to ensure all insurance information is accurate and properly submitted. You will work closely with providers and their medical teams to gather necessary documentation review patients medical records to support the precertification process and ensure all requirements are met to avoid delays in care. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations.

Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in precertification in a medical office is preferred. A successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of customer service principles and will have familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology. This role requires strong attention to detail excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.
