We deliver secure high-quality language access in more than 80 spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.

We are seeking Kazakh Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Kazakh a Turkic language spoken primarily in Kazakhstan and among Central Asian diaspora communities is a rare but strategic language often needed in asylum and immigration cases.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Kazakh English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews hearings and official proceedings.
Deliver interpretation with accuracy impartiality and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
Adhere to USCIS/DHS interpreter standards and confidentiality rules.
Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
Participate in training compliance refreshers and quality assurance audits.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Kazakh and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration legal community or government preferred).
Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics confidentiality and cultural awareness.
Excellent communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
