Job Duties
This position provides accounts receivable and accounts payable support as well as administrative support for office and board functions for the Finance Department. Daily functions include but are not limited to the daily recording of accounts receivable customer billing and collections general accounting support monthly reporting administrative office functions. This position also coordinates and supports the departments board meeting materials and meetings. This position should apply knowledge of accounting and administrative functions to ensure tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner while maintaining exceptional customer service and a positive attitude in accordance with Commonwealth policies.
Minimum Qualifications

Data Accuracy and Analysis Ability to perform accurate data entry and conduct basic analysis with strong attention to detail. Ensures reliability and integrity of information.
Accounting Knowledge General knowledge of basic accounting principles including reconciliations expense tracking and financial recordkeeping.
Communication and Writing Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to draft clear correspondence reports and provide professional customer service.
Administrative and Project Management Demonstrated ability to plan organize and manage multiple projects and priorities within prescribed timelines. Skilled in office administration practices and procedures.
Organizational Skills Ability to maintain order track progress and complete tasks effectively as goals and priorities shift. Strong recordkeeping and documentation skills.
Independent Work Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability and providing regular updates to management.
Systems and Recordkeeping Demonstrated ability to use automated systems for data management reporting and recordkeeping with accuracy and efficiency.
Interpersonal Skills Excellent ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff management and external stakeholders. Skilled in collaboration and conflict resolution.
Computer Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word Excel (formulas pivot tables charts) and PowerPoint. Ability to use these tools to complete administrative and analytical tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Additional Considerations
Experience with accounts receivable or related accounting functions.
Experience with office operations and administrative duties.
Knowledge of board functions and communications preferred.
Coursework in accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience with financial systems or accounting software preferred.
