Chemical Specialist (mfx)

As a Chemical Specialist youll drive innovation support expansion at one the leading life science and global provider of mission-critical products and leads the development of visibility of chemical products produced and distributed. This position involves travel within Bucharest and Romania (up to 50%).

Site location: The Avantor Business Centre in Timpuri Noi Bucharest

What we are looking for:

• A Bachelors or advanced degree in Biochemistry Organic Chemistry Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Several years of hands-on experience in Sales or Marketing or R&D or progressive manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving challenges.
• Proficiency in data analysis process validation and technical documentation.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering excellence in a team-driven culture.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

• Serve as the primary technical contact for product specifications test methods and process inquiries.
• Work closely with Commercial Operations Engineering Quality and CMS teams to ensure seamless product launches.
• Engage in internal and customer audits addressing non-conformities and driving continuous improvement.
• Development of local business plans in coordination with direct Manager and in accordance with National/European/Global objectives
• Regular customer visits with/ without sales representative (driving licence is an advantage)
• Organizing and implementing chemical technical presentations both online and through visits to clients in Romania
• Support local Avantor organization and Avantor dealers in technical matters.
• Coordination and implementation of all advertising and sales promotion measures ( new chemical & life sciences product launches) at local level in collaboration with Global Avantor Marketing Communication and National strategy and objectives.
