About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Consultant to perform independent audits of vendors involved in classified procurements. The consultant will ensure compliance with the Norwegian Security Act (Sikkerhetsloven) particularly Chapter 9 and applicable Supplier Security Directives. This role is critical in safeguarding national security by verifying that vendors meet legal regulatory and contractual obligations related to protective security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute audit plans targeting vendors handling classified procurements.
Assess vendor compliance with the Norwegian Security Act and relevant Supplier Security Directives.
Verify vendors hold appropriate Facility Security Clearance (FSC) as required under Section 9-3 of the Security Act.
Ensure secure handling storage and transmission of classified information by vendors.
Identify risks in vendor operations ownership structures and subcontractor relationships.
Recommend corrective actions and improvements to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Deliver detailed audit reports and compliance assessments.
Document findings non-conformities and remediation plans.
Provide expert guidance on vendor compliance and security best practices.
Conduct follow-up audits to verify the implementation of corrective actions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid Norwegian security clearance suitable for auditing classified procurement activities.
Minimum of 5 years experience in auditing or compliance roles preferably within telecom defense or critical infrastructure sectors.
In-depth knowledge of the Norwegian Security Act (Chapters 1 4 8 9 10) and Supplier Security Directives.
Familiarity with secure procurement systems vendor vetting and protective security protocols.
Ability to operate independently while maintaining strict confidentiality and impartiality.

Legal & Contractual Framework:

All audit activities must comply with the Norwegian Security Act and applicable Supplier Security Directives. Vendors under audit are required to cooperate under the terms of their procurement agreements. The audit consultant must ensure secure handling of all classified information during audits.
