Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting the inspection operation and light maintenance of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems within assigned facilities. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience and growth opportunities in the facilities engineering field.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the engineering team in maintaining and repairing building systems and equipment
Perform general maintenance duties including carpentry HVAC plumbing electrical and painting
Complete and document work orders via the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Maintain tools parts equipment and supplies in a clean and safe condition
Collaborate under the guidance of Operating Engineers Chief Engineers and senior staff
Participate in technical safety and operational training programs
Support emergency and on-call situations as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Holiday Season Schedule Notice
During the holiday season (from Black Friday through Christmas) this role will operate on extended hours including Sunday coverage to meet tenant and building needs. After Christmas the schedule will return to the normal alternating rotation.
Qualifications
12 years of experience in maintenance HVAC electrical plumbing or carpentry
Trade school union training military service or college education preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working on ladders up to 30 feet
Ability to climb bend kneel lift and drive frequently
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
