Job Purpose:

A vacancy for a Shift Supervisor in the Security Industry has become vacant. The main purpose of the position is to ensure that all site-specific security requirements are adhered to and that the Clients needs are always efficiently and professionally met.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/Matric certificate
• Grade A/B Psira registration and accreditation.
• Must have Firearm Competency/Business Purpose (Handgun/Shotgun & Rifle).
• A minimum of 6 years experience in Security Operations- previous Shift Management experience advantageous within the Mining Industry.
• Very analytical individual with excellent problem-solving Skills.
• Ability to manage and discipline staff.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Strong Operational Planning Leadership and Organisational Skills as well as good Interpersonal Communication and Client Liaison Skills are essential.
• Must be able to work under pressure and for extended hours as and when required.
• Clear criminal record.
• Medically Fit.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Own reliable transport.
• Should reside in Rustenburg or surrounding areas.

Job Specification:

• Maintaining good relations between Fidelity Security Services Group and the Client regarding security services rendered
• Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the Client regarding the improvement of services.
• Ensuring continuous assessment of the Clients premises and minimizing as far as possible risky access and creating several barriers to would be criminals.
• Ensuring that all Security Officers on site meet the contractual requirements as stipulated by the Client.
• General management and supervision of security staff and ensuring that all their queries are dealt with promptly.
• Submitting relevant monthly reports to the Client and Management when applicable.
• Controls and ensures the effective and safe utilisation of Security infrastructure systems and resources.
• Control of operational security activities on shift bases
• Compile and consolidate reports
• Write security reports and take statements
• Further Education & Training Certificate Specialist Security Practices
• Inspect drive and maintain an official vehicle.
