Cameron House is a 150 year old institution that is deeply woven into San Francisco history and rooted in faith-based outreach and support. We proudly hold the honor of serving the evolving needs of San Franciscos underserved communities. Cameron House is a hub of year-round individual and family oriented programs and services. These programs include our heritage youth school adult ESL and computer classes counseling services in English Cantonese and Mandarin domestic violence intervention and case management for accessing all of the San Francisco area community resources available for low to moderate income individuals and families. We empower community members to build strength and resilience through family-centered programs and help people learn heal and thrive.

- Able to be present and on time for scheduled shifts and stay focused and organized
- Must be able to attend orientation training and other meetings as required
- Willing and able to follow policies and procedures
- Communication Skills
- Bi-lingual/Bi-literate in English and Cantonese / Mandarin a plus!
- Able to take care of yourself and never hesitateto ask for help if you dont know what to do
- Knows How To Act Professionally
- Able to be organized dependable and punctual
- Willing to present a positive attitude and sense of humor
- Confidentiality
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to program participants service seekers staff and volunteers and will not seek additional information about them
Requirements
Upon acceptance into the role all volunteers must fulfill the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old by date of commitment
- Minors ages 16-17 may volunteer with parent consent
- Willing to commit to a minimum of one (1) day per week
- Undergo a criminal background check process and achieve satisfactory clearance from the Department of Justice via Live Scan
- Undergo a screening for tuberculosis
- Complete an Anti-Harassment training (online)
- Complete Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training (online)
