We are looking for a SampleHandling Assistant to join our our Sample Management department in Harrogate North Yorkshire.
Job responsibilities include:
Performing any combination of sample management and/or archive tasks including labeling receipt transferring tracking inventory archival shipping and disposal of samples and/or materials
Sample accession core tasks including box opening inventory/labeling receipt/store and pulls/returns
Using tracking systems as appropriate and communicating effectively with internal and external customers
Accurate protocol and relevant documentation interpretation (i.e. Sample Analysis Outline client paperwork)
Documenting and communicating discrepancies to appropriate personnel and assisting with problem solving. Assisting with audit responses to QAU inspections
Supporting process improvement initiatives and working well in a team
Competent with environmental system monitor as appropriate
Maintaining storage units
Maintaining a working knowledge of appropriate regulations and company/department Standard Operating Procedures

Education:
Relevant national level of education in comparison to High School Diploma or equivalent CSE A level or equivalent
Experience:
Competent ability to use several software packages i.e. Word Excel Outlook
Team player with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Experience working in a fast-pace environment and/or in a warehouse operative/logistics role is advantageous
