Job Summary
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to play a key role in our financial operations. This position is responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks ensuring compliance with GAAP and supporting strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes including preparation of financial statements.
- Review and post journal entries accruals and account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data and trends to support business decisions.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and support process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
- 36 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite SAP Oracle).
- Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
