Rolling Mill Operator
The rolling mill operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the rolling mill by performing essential manual tasks that machines or control platforms cannot execute. This position is vital for maintaining quality standards supporting setup and conversion tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of the plant. The operators responsibilities are integral to the production process contributing significantly to the overall success of the manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Execute manual tasks that cannot be automated by machines or control platforms.
- Conduct timely material sampling as directed by the shift supervisor and in line with QA regulations.
- Sort and transport process scrap according to rolling mill regulations.
- Weigh label and mark finished coils following quality regulations and company guidelines.
- Perform visual inspections of wire coils in compliance with company standards.
- Check and adjust the laying pattern and realign ring ends in the roll table and bell area as needed.
- Provide independent support for setup and conversion work on rolling stands and machines during downtimes.
- Serve as a forklift driver or crane operator for end products as a substitute.
- Maintain plant functionality and ensure the orderliness and cleanliness of the work area.
Requirements
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
- Vacation: 28 days
- Language Level:
- Minimum A2 level required at the job interview
- B1 level qualification necessary upon entry
- Experience:
- 2 years of professional experience in Rolling Mill Operator or a similar field

Experience: 2 years of professional experience as a rolling mill operator Knowledge in metalworking steelworks rolling mills or foundries. Team player with a willingness to learn and understand recurring processes. Physical constitution suitable for the role.
