Job Summary

Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client we are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the field execution of small diameter foundation systems including micropiles ground anchors soil nails and related geotechnical works. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily site operations ensuring project quality safety and productivity objectives are met and maintaining strong communication between field crews project managers engineers and clients.

This role is ideal for an individual who excels in hands-on leadership has a strong background in specialty foundations or deep foundation construction and thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting commercial industrial and institutional projects across Alberta and Western Canada.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily site activities for micropile and anchor installations including drilling grouting testing and QA/QC.
Lead and mentor field crews to ensure safe efficient and high-quality work execution.
Coordinate equipment materials and subcontractors to maintain schedule and budget targets.
Interpret design drawings and specifications; liaise with engineers and project managers to resolve field issues.
Monitor site safety in accordance with company and regulatory standards conducting toolbox meetings and safety audits.
Track quantities production rates and project progress; submit daily reports and site documentation.
Ensure compliance with geotechnical testing inspection and reporting requirements.
Support the Project Manager in schedule updates cost tracking and client communication.
Foster a culture of teamwork accountability and continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

Minimum 510 years of field experience in micropiles anchors or deep foundations.
Proven experience as a Superintendent General Foreman or Lead Driller in a similar scope of work.
Strong understanding of drilling methods grouting systems and specialty equipment used in small diameter foundation construction.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews and coordinate complex field logistics.
Strong commitment to safety quality and productivity.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and geotechnical data.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to foster collaboration on site.

Required Skills:

Requirements Minimum 4 years onsite construction experience Minimum 3 years of continuous superintendent or supervisory role experience (in construction field) Strong working knowledge of current construction methods drawings specifications and building codes Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employment and other designated information Self-motivated creative thinking organized and efficiency Excellent Good oral and written communication skills Ability to effectively manage time responsibilities and priorities Demonstrated interpersonal leadership and team building skills Level 1 (minimum) First Aid certification and knowledge of (WHMIS) Systems Budgeting and estimating skills (computer word processing and spreadsheet programs an asset) Proficient with computers multifunctional processing units telephones and faxes Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and skills in data entry Valid drivers license
