Job Summary
As our Superintendent youll lead day-to-day construction activities enforce safety and quality standards and partner closely with project managers subcontractors and clients to drive projects across the finish lineon time on budget and with the craftsmanship our reputation depends on.
- Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting to the individual phase code level and cost type for potential gains and losses
- Provide leadership and direction for all project activities and tasks ensuring project outcomes are delivered successfully and in compliance with all contracts and client needs
- Ensure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities for all site personnel. Provide regular and respectful feedback for all under your direction
- Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where its required.
- Inspect tools and equipment and notify the Tools and Equipment Manager for service and repair as needed
- Pitch in hands-on when needed including night shifts or extended hours to overcome challenges and meet critical milestones
Expected Salary: $105000 - $130000 based on experience and education.
Qualifications :
You bring grit accountability and an entrepreneurial mindset to every project. You thrive in a hands-on environment solving problems on the fly and building trust through clear respectful communicationeven when the pressures on.
- 5 years experience as a Superintendent for a large general contractor on commercial builds
- Proven track record managing projects valued between $100K and $5M
- Journeyman trade certification or equivalent field experience
- Willingness to be hands-on in the field and to work occasional night shifts
- Able and willing to travel and work across the Lower Mainland Vancouver Island and Fraser Valley
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Assets
- Technical diploma in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Gold Seal certification
