Wyomings HCBS Section provides community-based options to Wyoming citizens who are aging or have disabilities in order to live independent meaningful and dignified lives through access to person-centered cost-effective services. These waivers serve approximately 5000 individuals with approximately 800 provider entities supporting these individuals across the state. Each of the three waivers the Comprehensive Supports and Community Choices Waiver are Medicaid funded jointly funded by the state and federal governments. The Home and Community Based Services Section within the Wyoming Division of Healthcare Finance which is part of the Wyoming Department of Health manages these waivers.
As the HCBS Data Analyst youll play a key role in keeping Wyomings Home and Community-Based Services programs running smoothly. Youll use data and technology to help ensure people receive the care and services they need when they need them. This position focuses on systems project management data analysis technical support and training all of which directly impact how effectively HCBS serves individuals across the state.

PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience with HCBS systems such as IMPROV EMWS or the HCBS Provider Submission Portal is helpful as well as familiarity with business intelligence tools like Cognos Tableau R SQL or SSRS.
A background in Medicaid programs healthcare administration or data reporting will be useful and experience working on projects in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
A bachelors degree in a related field such as Healthcare IT Accounting Finance or Public Administration.
Understanding of state and federal government processes and Medicaid laws.
Ability to interpret complex regulations and turn them into clear actionable policies.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills for working with diverse audiencesfrom leadership to field staff.
Quick learner whos comfortable adopting new technologies.
Experience in gathering technical and business requirements efficiently.
Proficiency in SQL R or Python preferred.
