Job Summary
Description: The position works to check and maintain grammar and diction in all articles before publishing.
Duties:
- Use the AP Manual of Style to produce and implement standards for headlines abbreviations punctuation etc. which shall be applied to Criterion articles.
- Review articles and/or assign to Section Editors articles before publication.
- Work on fixed content deadlines after which content will be reviewed by Editor-in-Chief before publication.
- Oversee and communicate with Section Editors.
Stipulations:
- Must be a registered La Sierra Student
- Must complete Student Authorization Form with Silvia Stenner (Office of Student Life)
- Must have worked as a Criterion Section Editor for at least one quarter.
Expectations:
- Editors are not to exceed more than eight hours clocked in per-pay period (2-week pay period)
Applying for Criterion:
- Complete HR standard application
- Upload documents resume and writing sample required (cover letter and any other materials are optional). Please note that writing samples should follow these guidelines:
- It should be a non-creative piece.
- Something written for a class is preferable.
- It should be roughly 2-3 pages.
- It can not be something that was written for Criterion with the editorial help of the Criterion staff.

Wage Range:$16.50 - $16.70 per hour
