The Role
We are seeking a Finance & Strategy Manager to join Block and help scale our Bitcoin and stablecoin this role you will be at the forefront of Bitcoin and stablecoin innovation partnering with product engineering and business teams to develop financial models analyze market opportunities and shape strategic decisions that impact our digital asset ecosystem.
This is a hands-on high-impact role: you will build financial frameworks size opportunities evaluate product economics and partner with product and engineering leads to shape Blocks Bitcoin and stablecoin roadmap. The ideal candidate brings a foundation in traditional finance (investment banking investing or strategy) fluency in digital assets and the ability to navigate fast-moving ambiguous environments. You will report to the Bitcoin Finance and Strategy Lead that supports Blocks Bitcoin and Stablecoin products
You Will
- Serve as the primary strategic finance partner to the heads of Bitcoin Product and Bitcoin Engineering building strong relationships and providing sophisticated analysis to drive informed decision-making
- Build and maintain forecast models including owning models for your covered products; lead monthly reviews with senior stakeholders.
- Build models including impact and scenario analyses for product changes to understand short and long-term cost/benefit tradeoffs and size financial impact of contemplated launches or product changes
- Assist in preparation of materials for product business partners Bitcoin/stablecoin leadership investor relations and our board to help drive understanding of performance to internal and external stakeholders
- Support go-to-market strategy through pricing analysis incentive modeling and adoption target setting.
- Manage ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested by the Bitcoin team and Finance partners related to our performance/metrics P&L analysis among other topics
You Have
- 5years of relevant finance experience including at least 2 years in investment banking or private equity and 2 years in a strategic finance function. Prior crypto or fintech experience is preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills and a track record of delivering results on corporate-wide initiatives
- The ability to distill complex information into clear problem statements that can be systematically analyzed and communicated; frames both approaches and solutions in a way that is actionable for all audiences
- Comfort working with metrics building new KPIs and navigating large data sets to find answers to complex problems
- Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in Bitcoin stablecoins and digital asset markets
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic ambiguous environment balancing precision with speed to execution
