Job Summary
Job Description
The Sport Clubs Coach I (Cheer Club Assistant Coach) is responsible for the coaching of the assigned cheer club team(s).
Duties
General: Responsible for assisting with practices game day routines and competitions. Must be able to teach a wide array of participants from beginners to experienced high school and collegiate athletes. Properly instruct fundamentals and technique.
Administrative:The coach will assist club leadership with short and long-term goals and a plan of action for the academic year.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the department and organization.
Additional Knowledge Skills and Experience
Two years experience coaching at the youth high school junior college or collegiate club level and be a High School Graduate/GED. Candidates need to effectively communicate with a diverse student population have demonstrated leadership skills organizational skills and experience commensurate with coaching at the collegiate club level
Pay Benefits & Work Schedule
Hourly wage is commensurate with knowledge skills and experience. This is a seasonal hourly part time position typically from July through May of the following year. Travel is required for competitions. Practices are typically 2-3 days per week August through May with 25-30 performances during the season (mainly in Southern California; though some out of state travel may be required). Typical schedule will be 2-20 hours weekly when classes are in session.
Position and Expected hiring range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
