Parts Warehouse Lead

Job Summary:This position is responsible for assuming leadership roles and assistingin managing the parts warehouse functions successfully. The PartsWarehouse Lead is responsible for responding to company needs in a positive caringmanner while showing a sense of urgency in communicating with customers in theprocessing of their parts orders. This position assists the Parts Warehouse Supervisorin providing direction and support for the parts warehouse and personnel to ensure thatcustomer needs are satisfied while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complieswith all company policies procedures and standards
• Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
• Maintains all company equipment warehouse environment tools and work areasin a good clean and working order
• Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customersin an accurate timely and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
• Completes all stock replenishment tasks in an accurate timely and supportivemanner to ensure proper inventory status in the parts warehouse. To be monitored bymanagement observation stock order analysis reports and daily andyear-end physical inventories.
• Maintains parts operations office warehouse and outside yards so that they areneat and orderly as assessed by the department manager
• Develop sales and inventory skills by completing internal training programs asdetermined by performance review goal setting guide for self-improvement andachievement of other KRAs
• Completes internal parts orders and identifies parts for return communicates jobstatus to supervisor as needed
• Places 3rd party orders through the CODA system and how to receive ordersthrough the CODA system
• Supports other departments peripheral projects to ensure company success andachievement of stated goals as monitored by management observation andplanning
• Provides a significant amount of task and behavior-oriented supervisionmentoring and training to others
• Works overtime as required by workload
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in the Parts Warehouse PositionDesignation Guidelines to include; order pulling job-related software forkliftoperation hydraulic hose building ladder JSA battery JSA prime mover JSAwill counter operations and all applicable policies and procedures
• Extensive working knowledge of equipment and tools including their designsuses repair and maintenance
• Extensive working knowledge and proficiency with current computer softwareand related hardware
• Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish workingrelationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
• Equipment selection skills by determining the kind of tools and equipmentneeded to do a job
• Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to operate hand tools power tools pneumatic tools and equipment usedin mechanical repair including an overhead crane
• Ability to operate a conventional forklift
• Ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle toexact positions
• Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated

• Ability to read write and understand information

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six or more years of warehouse operations experience required

Travel:

• Up to 10% travel may be required & may require overnight stays

• Frequently lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50 lb; must be able tomove objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide supportover time without fatigue
• Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself using bothhands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment

Work Environment:

• Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposedto weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclementweather heat cold and humidity
• Exposure to small quantities of chemicals dust steam high-pressure water andhigh-speed rotating equipment
• Works in extremely bright or inadequate lighting
• Exposure to high noise levels and body vibration
• Works in an enclosed and open vehicle or equipment
• Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
• Exposure to minor burns cuts bites or stings
