Development internship Nijmegen

Join Planon as a Develop intern within our specialized IoT team in Nijmegen starting February 2026. As an intern within the IoT team you will be a full member of our development team. You will work on one specific product that revolves around connecting sensors and processing data. Depending on your preferences and expertise you can focus on back-end front-end or infrastructure.

You will be part of a diverse team of 8 to 9 colleagues from the Netherlands Poland Israel and other countries. The working language is English and we encourage you to ask questions and actively contribute your ideas. Your internship supervisor is a Lead Architect who together with a Senior Functional Designer will provide you with professional and personal guidance.

What will you be doing

As an intern you will be involved in:

• Learning developing and getting to know the business world.
• Devising innovative solutions to technical problems.
• Designing and developing software using technologies such as Java 17/21 C# JavaScript Angular Docker Kubernetes Azure MongoDB Elastic Search and SQL Server.
• Collaborating on innovative software solutions in the field of IoT and building management contributing to the connection of sensors and the processing of data.
• Actively contributing valuable ideas opinions and advice.

• HBO degree in Computer Science or software development.
• Knowledge of a programming language preferably Java.
• Good command of the English language. Dutch is a plus but not a requirement.
• Analytical skills and conceptual thinking.
• Interest and energy to really dive deep into technical matters.
