About DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne - Flinders Street

What will I be doing
The Finance & Procurement Executive plays a key role in supporting the Finance Manager by ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient procurement controls. This position contributes to the smooth operation of hotel finance functions from audits and reconciliations to supplier management and cost control. Specifically you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the hotel with the maintenance of internal controls providing an effective and efficient control over hotel assets liabilities revenue and costs.
- Maintaining an up to date and complete register of hotel contracts suppliers insurance policies and licenses including ensuring proper filing of original documents are kept.
- Assist with Hotel level Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly.
- Assist to coordinate and manage the month end closing process including ensuring the completeness timeliness and accuracy of all journal postings and reviewing the journals.
- Ensure a comprehensive system for allocating and reconciling purchase orders is in effect.
- Conduct stocktakes on a regular basis and liaise with Department Heads for their procurement needs.
What are we looking for
- Relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience using MS Office Suite intermediate excel skills.
- Ability to work as part of a small team and autonomously.
- Excellent time management skills and accuracy in work produced.
