Job Summary
Reporting to the Drilling Supervisor youll be responsible for managing and operating drill sites for Exploration group needs.
This role requires a rotating schedule of 10 on - 5 off.
- Adhere to safety and environmental policies including good housekeeping practices and daily equipment inspections
- Operate and maintain Boart Longyear LF90 core drill and related equipment efficiently and safely
- Conduct drilling operations including core sample collection while minimizing borehole deviation
- Perform equipment setup movement and maintenance at drill sites
- Utilize specialty drilling tools and survey equipment as needed
- Prepare and submit accurate daily site and shift reports
- Assist in mixing and pumping drilling additives
- Execute proper borehole abandonment procedures when required
- Operate various support vehicles and equipment including pickup trucks and forklifts
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Exploration Group
- Perform other duties as assigned to support exploration activities
- Current equipment includes but not limited to F150s F250s Dodge 5500 gas Dodge 5500 diesel Propane forklift Case diesel forklift Bobcat skid steer CAT D5K dozer CAT 420 backhoe Sterling/International/Freightliner/Ford commercial trucks (Dump water and drill support) Allmand light towers mobile trailers and Boart Longyear LF90D drill rigs

Qualifications :
- 2 years experience operating a Core Drill preferred
- 5 years experience on a Core Drill or equivalent highly preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License (Commercial Driver License beneficial)
- Knowledge of basic mechanics and maintenance
- Strong teamwork communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely independently or as a team
- South Carolina Environmental Well Drillers License preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in outdoor mine environments
- Capable of standing sitting demonstrating manual dexterity climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment
