Job Summary
Location: 830 Gemini St. Houston TX 77058
- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians.
- Schedule patients. Explain procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Position patients and select appropriate transducers.
- Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment and move scanners over specific body areas and adjust equipment of focus.
- Make hard copy images and document tests.
- Develop film using automatic film processing equipment and assemble materials for radiologists.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Order and stock all ultrasound supplies.
- Prepare patients for physicians obtain vital signs and assist during examination.
- Maintain department records reports and files.
- Keep the work area clean.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
- Participate in staff development and educational activities.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform related work as required.
Qualifications :
- 2 years of experience performing prenatal ultrasounds and fetal echocardiograms is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience in a clinical setting with a focus on delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with physicians and other team members.
- Active certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) is required.
- Active certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with a specialty in Fetal Echocardiography is required or must be actively pursuing and eligible to sit for this exam.
