Job Summary
As Solution Architect NodeJS/Kafka (m/f) you will play a critical role in designing and managing complex system-to-system integrations with a strong focus on event-driven architectures and interface design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end integration architecture between multiple systems
- Define and document APIs messaging interfaces data formats and transformation rules
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure proper implementation of integration solutions
- Model data flows and integration processes using best practices for scalability and maintainability
- Own and manage the lifecycle of the interfaces and data flows under your responsibility
- Ensure alignment between integration architecture and overall enterprise architecture standards
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and partners
- Participate in code reviews technical decision-making and the continuous improvement of integration practice
Your Profile
- 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect Integration Architect or in a similar technical design role
- Proven track record in designing and delivering complex integration projects
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging/eventing platforms (e.g. RabbitMQ Pulsar)
- Deep understanding of event-driven architectures and asynchronous communication patterns
- Proficiency in API design (REST event schemas) and working with schema-based messaging (e.g. JSON Schema Avro)
- Familiarity with the NodeJS ecosystem ( NestJS etc.); ability to support developers in implementation
- Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines (GitLab CI Jenkins etc.)
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with Confluent Kafka Kafka Connect KSQL Schema Registry
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) or containerized environments (Kubernetes)
- Background in designing scalable and modular architectures
- Knowledge of integration security concepts (TLS/SSL authentication RBAC)
- Certifications in Kafka cloud platforms or architectural frameworks are a plus
