Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific is offering an internship opportunity for a Technical Writer focusing on the creation and maintenance of work instructions used in manufacturing and operations. This role is ideal for a student with strong writing skills attention to detail and an interest in translating technical knowledge into practical user-friendly documentation.
As part of the Operations Engineering team the intern will support documentation processes that directly contribute to the production of high-quality products. The role provides a hands-on introduction to working within a regulated high-tech manufacturing environment with exposure to both technical and cross-functional collaboration.
What will the role involve
In this role you will be responsible for developing and updating technical documentation including standard operating procedures and production work instructions. This includes collecting input from subject matter experts observing processes on the production floor and ensuring that documents meet internal standards and regulatory requirements. The position also includes working with documentation systems and continuous improvement efforts related to content quality and usability.
This role requires a willingness to learn a structured mindset and the ability to turn complex information into clear actionable content. Collaboration with multiple departmentsincluding production quality and engineeringis an essential part of the work.
Requirements:
- Actively studying at the university
- Native Czech or Slovak language is a must
- Knowledge of common Microsoft Office and Acrobat applications
- Sufficient communication in English (both written and spoken)
- Willingness to work in high-tech industry manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining cooperation of cross-functional multi-cultural groups and sites without damaging relationships.
- Must be able to work for extended period in clean room environment
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
