Job Summary
To support the holistic care of the ventricular assist device (VAD) patient throughout the entirety of the therapy. To serve as an integral part of the medical team and be involved in a significant part of the patients care including care and follow-up once the patient leaves the hospital. To ensure the post-implant patient is prepared for self-care prior to discharge. To see the patient in clinic coordinate the patients care in their home community and facilitate readmission for complications of device therapy. To train the patients community first responder resources. To travel with the UAB critical care transport team to assist in safe transport of the VAD patient.
Pay Range: $35.52 - $52.07 / Hour
