Job Description

PG - I

Provide direct supervision and plans work of a team/unit of Eligibility Specialist determining program eligibility. Assists in the development of uniform policy interpretations securing services and timely benefits and evaluating quality. Maintains a system of management to monitor quality quantity and timeliness of benefits

Role and Responsibilities:

Provides direct supervision and support to assigned team/unit of EligibilitySpecialists.
Provides direct supervision and support to the assigned unit/team.
Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of services provided to customers in addition to assigned programmatic responsibilities to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved.
Ensures agency compliance with policies appropriate documentation and reporting requirements.
Develops and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within units(s) and with other agencies and providers.
Assess assigned staff performance and provide ongoing development and training.
Interviews hires directs trains. and evaluates employees job performance; recommends employee disciplinary and discharge actions as appropriate.
Leads and administers a comprehensive system of customer support and public assistance.
Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED AND Four (4) years of job-related customer contact/interaction experience and One (1) year in a lead worker team lead or supervisory role.

One (1) year of experience at the lower level Eligibility Spec 3 (SST072) or position equivalent.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications demonstrate some or all the following education/skills/experience:

Agency Specific Qualifications:

Two (2) years of experience as an Eligibility Specialist 2 and/ or 3 with GA DFCS.
Trained AND worked in two (2) OR three (3) OFI programs.
Must be Gateway Eligibility System trained.
