Job Summary
Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Atlanta GA 30342
Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Duration: 3 Months (Contract)
Compensation: Up to $2360 weekly
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Atlanta Georgia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations ensuring the highest level of patient care image quality and procedural accuracy in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following departmental protocols and best practices.
Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Take necessary precautions to ensure safety for both patients and staff during all procedures.
Set up clean and make minor adjustments or maintenance to ultrasound equipment as needed.
Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and equipment is maintained for daily operations.
Mentor and assist in the orientation of new ultrasound technologists and staff members.
Capture and upload diagnostic images to PACS ensuring accurate transfer to physician workstations.
Answer department phones schedule exams and assist in coordinating patient transportation when required.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support department efficiency and patient care quality.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting.
Strong understanding of sonographic techniques and diagnostic imaging standards.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with a commitment to patient care and teamwork.
Certifications (Required Prior to Start)
BLS Certification (AHA) Required.
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (R.D.M.S.) Required.
