Job Summary
Radiation Therapist Day Shift (No Weekends)
Location: Sumter SC 29150
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Shift Type: Day Shift (5x8-hour shifts)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Orientation: 16 hours
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join a reputable healthcare facility in Sumter South Carolina. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday-only schedule with no weekends making it ideal for professionals seeking worklife balance while delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely
Prepare position and educate patients prior to treatment sessions
Operate radiation therapy equipment following established protocols
Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions
Maintain accurate documentation and treatment records
Collaborate with physicians physicists and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
Active Radiation Therapist certification and applicable state licensure
Previous radiation therapy experience preferred
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work independently in a clinical environment
Vaccination Requirements (Facility Guidelines)
COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
