Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum Neurologist in Petoskey MI

Join a dedicated healthcare team at our facility located in the beautiful city of Petoskey Michigan. Our practice renowned for its commitment to patient wellness is seeking a Neurologist for coverage starting in January 2026. Enjoy regular clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with outpatient clinic hours on selected weekdays. Experience a supportive environment where you can focus on quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient consultations and neurological evaluations in an outpatient setting.
Conduct EEG reads for inpatient and outpatient cases as needed.
Perform necessary procedures including:

Radiologic Exam Interpretation
Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap)
EEG
Brain Death Examination
Evoked Potentials

Manage inpatient care ensuring a high quality of treatment.
Participate in call coverage after hours including 24/7 inpatient call.
Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Neurology (not accepting Board Eligible candidates).
Active Michigan medical license at the time of submission.
Active DEA registration.
BLS and ACLS certifications (NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency preferred).
Clean malpractice history.
Availability and preferred shift type must be clearly indicated.

License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certified in Neurology (REQUIRED).
Active Michigan License (REQUIRED).
Active DEA confirmation (REQUIRED).
BLS and ACLS certifications (Preferred).
