Department Overview

The Manufacturing Engineering Department is responsible for designing developing and optimizing manufacturing processes equipment and systems to ensure efficient cost-effective and high-quality production. It serves as a bridge between product design and production enabling scalable and sustainable manufacturing operations.

Position Responsibilities

• Project areas may include

• Design and fabrication of manufacturing tooling and fixtures

• Sustainability metrics ownership

• Manufacturing process improvements

• Propose new ideas to save on manufacturing costs labor or improve quality.

• Test and present findings for assigned projects.

• Create documentation and process flow diagrams based on assigned projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently a student earning a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.

• Must be graduating between May 2026 and August 2027.

Desired Qualifications

• Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Visio Excel PowerPoint etc.)

• Highly motivated and a self-starter

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation

• Proven and demonstrated teamwork skills

• Focus on working with cross-functional teams

• Experience with leveraging spreadsheets systems and processes to complete tasks.

• Experience with creating 3D designs and drawings using dimensioning and tolerancing. Experience with SolidWorks preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
