Job Description
Reporting to the Group Vendor Manager this role will support the development and execution of an Industry leading effective vendor management program within partnership with strategic sourcing and the claims operational leadership the incumbent will be responsible for the development and implementation of Vendor performance management initiatives creating better value for TDI Customers Employees and addition ensure compliance to TDI risk and expense policies and procedures. The incumbent will provide ongoing professional and specialized support on all vendor activities to all business areas as required and lead special projects and initiatives. The general accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
Participate fully as a member of the team support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business quality innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business related tools and techniques
Ensure all customer needs are considered during sourcing activities and sign-off is obtained from the key stakeholders when major decisions are made or contracts are awarded
Build and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships with key vendors for TDI
Manage Third Party Business Arrangements through all stages of the TPML in alignment with relevant frameworks policies and standards
Monitor analyze and report a Third Partys performance through delivery against SLAs SLOs KPIs or other contractual commitments
Identify issues and monitor trends with a Third Party in a responsive manner to reduce risk in alignment with TPRM Policies and related Standards
Participate in cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations
Maintain a culture of risk management and control supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
Share knowledge information skills and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teams
Ensure the prompt and thorough resolution of all customer issues and recommend improvements that arise from monitoring and tracking customer issues
Act as the primary interface with the business and lead influence or intervene in vendor negotiations on behalf of internal clients when necessary
Develop and maintain a good understanding of assigned business units their objectives and upcoming projects to communicate better options and alternatives
Develop project/program plans and/or quality assurance measures where applicable and manage all activities related to respective functions
Manage key relationships internal stakeholders and/or external suppliers to enhance support to end customers and identify process improvement opportunities where appropriate.
Develop vendor performance scorecard reports monitor adherence to established standards and processes and Conduct performance reviews with suppliers as required
Network with industry peers and internal end users to keep abreast of industry trends benchmark and compare practices to ensure corporate program remains effective and current and Industry leading
Oversee the measurement of customer service levels within vendor program
Share/Provide industry and/or department expertise with internal and external business partners
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree is preferred
Prior Leadership Experience or experience in Vendor Management project management risk management and/or sourcing Must Have
Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external partners at all levels
Ability to multitask manage competing priorities effectively.
Excellent documentation skills; understands the importance of organized evidence storage to ensure audit readiness
Ability to think strategically: a forward thinker who sees opportunities not problems. Will challenge the status quo and continually look for a better way to execute with excellence.
Demonstrated leadership and management ability is vital. The ability to persuade via print and spoken word is critical.
A proven collaborative approach to problem solving decision-making and communication.
Effective communications skills including facilitation consultation negotiation persuasion and presentations.
Strong team player works well under pressure with the ability to deal effectively with change.
