My firm is recruiting for a new Senior Fund Accountant for a leading middle market private equity firm ($8B growing to $16B) that focuses on investing exclusively in the aerospace defense government maritime environmental infrastructure and industrials. This is a high-profile role that reports to a Managing Director.Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the management of third-party fund administrator audit firm and tax advisor
- Assist with the onboarding and administration of existing and new funds
- Management fee and NAV calculations
- Assist with the review and issuance of capital calls and distributions (including calculations)
- Assist with ensuring the timely receipt and reconciliation of capital call payments
- Assist with standard fund performance calculations and financial modeling requirements.
- Net IRR calculations regulatory net performance calculation
- Assistance with financial reporting as needed and/or appropriate
- Assistance with addressing investor requests related to financial reporting
- Maintain models supporting calculations and documentation for lines of credit
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting finance or related field
- CPA and/or Masters degree preferred
- 4-7 years of work experience in private equity accounting/ finance operations and/ or private equity fund administration
- Understanding of financial statements for private equity funds
- High proficiency and understanding of waterfall calculations
- High proficiency in Excel
- Versatile multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and organization
- Team orientation and history of establishing and maintaining good working relationships within and outside the firm
