Job Summary

About the Role:

The TMS Technician plays a crucial role in the administration of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy a non-invasive treatment for various mental health conditions. This position involves preparing patients for TMS sessions ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. The technician will operate TMS equipment monitor patient responses and maintain accurate records of treatment sessions. Additionally the TMS Technician will collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments. Ultimately the goal of this role is to contribute to the overall well-being of patients by providing high-quality care and support during their treatment journey.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a TMS training program or certification.
  • 1-2 years work experience with TMS machines
  • Basic understanding of mental health conditions and treatment modalities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting particularly in mental health.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up TMS equipment for patient sessions.
  • Conduct pre-treatment assessments to ensure patient eligibility and comfort.
  • Administer TMS therapy sessions while monitoring patient responses and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of each treatment session and patient progress.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust protocols as needed.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include technical proficiency in operating TMS equipment and a strong understanding of patient care protocols. Attention to detail is essential for accurately documenting treatment sessions and monitoring patient responses.
