Job Summary

Job Description:

About the Role

You will achieve benchmark kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards as well as ensuring sanitisation processes remain at a high standard. You will also ensure correct and efficient delivery of patient food carts and some minor food preparation will be required.

  • General cleaning of the kitchen and fridges floor ceiling etc.

  • Deliver meal trolleys to the wards and external sites morning or afternoon

  • Thoroughly clean fix-based equipment

  • Clean equipment and utensils

  • Clean external food service trolleys and trays

  • Carry out food safety monitoring procedures

Classifications for this position will range from IN13 - IN14 ($49145 - $53508 per annum pro rata).

Your Contribution

  • Current food handlers certificate (HLTFSE001) required

  • Organisational skills

  • Experience in high volume food service

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check or willing to obtain

About the Food Services Team

St Vincents Fitzroy Food service department is a central production kitchen providing food for 11 sites and for St Vincents itself. We are fully functional kitchen operating 365 days of the year producing approximately 2500 meals daily in accordance to the cook-chill methodology for all sites.

The department consists of over 85 employees ranging from cooks/chefs kitchen hands and food service assistants.
