Job Summary

The Opportunity

This position exists to operationally address risk when technology is used deployed and changed as well as to ensure technology survivability when critical business processes are supported by technology. Lastly to ensure that value is reaped in optimizing and managing the total cost of ownership and usage of technology. The success of the role is measured by the continuous improvement in technology risk posture and value derived from ownership.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead technology delivery governance as a CIO-aspirant operator: set the delivery cadence decision forums and accountability across apps cloud infra and vendors to ensure predictable outcomes faster time-to-value and fewer delivery surprises.

  • Drive value management and benefits realization: translate business priorities into measurable technology outcomes (revenue enablement cycle-time reduction resilience uplift) track benefits vs plan and intervene early when delivery drifts.

  • Own IT financial stewardship with FinOps rigor: manage cloud/software/project spend through unit economics (cost per app/user/transaction) improve forecasting accuracy and deliver sustained run-rate optimization (rightsizing commitments license rationalization demand management).

  • Shape run-vs-change investment trade-offs for leadership: build BAU governance budgets anchored to service criticality product roadmaps and tech-debt risk; quantify cost of delay and cost of risk to support CIO/ExCo decisions.

  • Run Change Approval Board (CAB) as a throughput stability engine: increase release frequency while reducing change failure rate by enforcing engineering readiness (test evidence rollback SLO impact dependency checks) and eliminating non-value bureaucracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree (with at least 10-15 years working experience)

  • Experience in IT Finance accounting e.g. budgeting capitalization accrual payments tracking reporting licensing and subscriptions.

  • Experience with IT Procurement process like quotation cost negotiation contract drafting and review and payments.

  • Familiar with IT Security related processes.

  • Familiar with IT Strategy planning and adherence to KPI as well as negotiation of targets.

  • Proven leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Change Request management ITIL certifications will be helpful.

  • Experience in IT Disaster Recovery will be advantageous.

  • Experience with being IT audited by both internal and external auditors. Exposure to COBIT framework will be advantageous.
