GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace which manufactures engine components aircraft structures cabin windows wiring harnesses and much more for many of the worlds aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with parts for aircraft engines together form Engines and at the Trollhättan facility advanced parts for engines for aircraft and space rockets are developed and manufactured. They also work with engine maintenance.

GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan Kongsberg (Norway) Mexico and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore India and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The head office for Engines is located in Trollhättan.

Job Summary

IPS (Indirect products and services) are now looking to fill a vacant position as a Buyer. The Indirect Purchasing department within GKN has the overall responsibility for purchase of indirect material and services to support the site in Trollhättan and has a yearly spend of around 2 billion SEK with 800 suppliers. The working environment is international so fluent English written and spoken is required. You will be commercially responsible which includes for example negotiations contract management supplier relationship management placing purchase orders and being a part of the global commodity team.

We are looking for someone that are interested in working as a buyer with responsibility to handle ongoing contracts with suppliers and to be responsible for the service level of your suppliers. You will mainly work within the commodity of machine investments.

Purchase of machine investments and spare parts
Manage performance of your suppliers including supplier relations
Participate in planning to secure product availability.
Monitor deliveries
Responsible for site procurement change control export control and ITAR fulfilment
Managing your suppliers to fulfill their responsibilities according to the contract

Fluent in swedish and english
Proficient in MS Office tools and SAP
Knowledge of aerospace products and technologies is preferable
1-3 years experience from Commercial assignment
