Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented Senior Detailer / Checker to join our growing this role you will be responsible for preparing detailed shop and erection drawings checking other detailers for accuracy and compliance and ensuring all outputs meet project company and industry standards. Youll work on a range of PEMB components from low to high complexity collaborate with engineers and contribute to best practices.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Prepare detailed shop and erection drawing packages for high complexity PEMB system including but not limited to built-up beams & columns hot rolled members cold-formed C & Z members sheeting trims and material list etc.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings as well as engineer notes to ensure that drawings meet specifications.
• communicate with engineers fabrication and erection teams to resolve issues and optimize designs.
• Check and review other detailers drawings for accuracy completeness and compliance with project specifications & code standards
• Utilize industry software tools (AutoCAD MBS etc.) to detail and check.
• Apply knowledge of IBC codes AISC steel Manual MBMA AWS and other applicable codes/standards.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• 15 years of steel detailing experience (recent) on Pre-Engineered Metal Building projects.
• Strong experience checking / reviewing other detailers work.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Metal Building Software (MBS) Tekla etc.
• In-depth understanding of AISC steel Manual MBMA AWS IBC codes & standards relevant to PEMB industry standards.
• Strong experience with complex detail conditions such hip/valley conditions crane system standing seam roof system mezzanines jack beam canopies & others.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and engineers design notes accurately & efficiently
• Strong communication organizational and time-management skills - able to handle multiple projects while maintaining high quality.
• Ability to work in fast-paced & challenging environment

Preferred:

• Experience using Tekla BIM Modeling & SDS/2
• Prior experience in creating detailing Manual and standards
