Job Summary

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and implementing control systems for various engineering projects. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles along with proficiency in programming and system design. The Controls Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Design and develop control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automation technologies.
Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing control systems.
Collaborate with project teams on project scheduling to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
Create and review schematics CAD drawings and mechanical designs using SolidWorks Creo and other design tools.
Apply GD&T principles to ensure precision in manufacturing processes.
Utilize MATLAB Simulink LabVIEW and Arduino for system design and simulation purposes.
Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate mechanical designs against ASME codes & standards.
Work on CNC programming and operation to support manufacturing processes.
Maintain documentation of all engineering processes and changes for compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical engineering principles.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo is essential.
Familiarity with project scheduling techniques and tools is preferred.
Experience with root cause analysis methodologies is a plus.
Knowledge of GD&T standards and application in design is highly desirable.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and controls is necessary.
