Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least five years of experience to join our team in Glendale CA. This attorney will manage a caseload of business and real estate litigation matters including contract disputes partnership/shareholder actions and commercial real estate conflicts. The ideal candidate will be a strong advocate in court a precise writer and a strategic advisor who can handle cases from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in business and real estate litigation including pleadings discovery depositions dispositive motions mediations/arbitrations and trial preparation
Draft clear persuasive and well-researched motions briefs and correspondence
Develop and implement case strategies budgets and timelines
Advise clients on risks strategy and likely outcomes; maintain consistent communication
Appear in court for hearings conferences and motion arguments
Collaborate with paralegals and junior attorneys to ensure efficient case progress
Maintain accurate daily time entries in Clio Manage and meet a 1600-hour annual billable requirement

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience preferably in business and/or real estate disputes
Strong experience in discovery depositions and motion practice; trial experience (first or second chair) preferred
Excellent legal research writing and oral advocacy skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
Proficiency in Clio Manage or similar case management software
