Job Summary

Must skills:

experience as a Mainframe Developer with expertise in COBOL JCL DB2 CICS and VSAM.
mainframe environment tools and utilities (e.g. TSO/ISPF Abend-Aid File-Aid).
Experience in agile development practices.
Exposure to cloud-based solutions for mainframe modernization
mainframe technologies including IBM z/OS CICS and IMS.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop maintain and enhance mainframe applications and systems.
Write and test COBOL programs JCL (Job Control Language) scripts and other mainframe-related programming languages.
Troubleshoot debug and resolve any issues or performance problems in the mainframe systems.
Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to design and implement new features and enhancements.
Ensure that all applications meet business requirements and are delivered on time.
Perform unit testing and support system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
Optimize mainframe code for improved performance and scalability.
Ensure data integrity security and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in coding and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mainframe Developer with expertise in COBOL JCL DB2 CICS and VSAM.
Strong knowledge of mainframe environment tools and utilities (e.g. TSO/ISPF Abend-Aid File-Aid).
Experience with batch processing online transaction processing (OLTP) and integration with other systems.
Familiarity with relational databases (especially DB2) and SQL.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze and troubleshoot issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills to interact with business analysts testers and other developers.
