Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment planning implementation evaluation).
Administer medications safely; manage IV therapy phlebotomy and telemetry monitoring.
Provide patient and family education to encourage understanding and active participation in care.
Accurately document all care and interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Recognize and report signs of neglect or abuse in compliance with state regulations.
Manage care for terminally ill and post-operative patients including pain management.
Support orthopedic and cardiac patients including those with chest drainage or epidural analgesia.
Respond rapidly to urgent and emergent patient situations.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and support staff to deliver coordinated care.
Adhere to infection control safety and hospital protocols.
Float between units as needed ensuring consistent professional care.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Massachusetts RN license in good standing.
BLS certification (required).
Completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module.
Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Exam.
