Job Title: Technician Medical/Surgical

Contract Duration: 6 Months
Shift: MondayThursday 8:00 AM 6:45 PM (10-hour shifts includes a 45-minute break)
Pay Rate: $23/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Medical/Surgical Technician to join a healthcare team for a 6-month assignment. The ideal candidate will support daily clinical operations by assisting with patient care performing phlebotomy procedures maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring smooth coordination between patients and clinical staff.
Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of medical and surgical patient care under the supervision of nursing and clinical staff.
Perform phlebotomy specimen collection and labeling in accordance with established procedures.
Document patient information accurately within the EPIC EMR system.
Prepare patient rooms equipment and instruments for examinations and procedures.
Support patient flow by helping with scheduling escorting patients and maintaining a clean organized work environment.
Monitor and restock clinical supplies as needed.
Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and compassionate care.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Phlebotomy experience required.
EPIC EMR experience required.
Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role preferred.
Strong communication multitasking and organizational skills required.
