Maintenance -Electrician - Lindbergh Schools
- Full-time position 40 hours/week Monday-Friday

Summary: Performs in the repair alteration construction installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect repair install alter service and maintain electrical systems including conduit and duct systems light and power systems motors appliances generators control equipment switches switchboards fans heaters fixtures boilers bells buzzers clocks and fire alarm systems.
- Install interior and exterior wiring for equipment appliances and new or remodeled buildings.
- Perform troubleshooting to locate and correct defects in electrical systems.
- Replace fuses and perform general electrical maintenance and repairs.
- Install test and maintain intercommunication and related systems.
- Plan design organize and coordinate electrical work to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Estimate labor time and materials required for electrical projects.
- Interpret and work from electrical plans blueprints sketches specifications and diagrams.
- Ensure all work complies with codes regulations and safety requirements.
- Use and maintain hand and power tools testing instruments and electrical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to maintenance and repairs.
- Drive a district vehicle and observe legal and defensive driving techniques.
- Perform related duties and temporary assignments in other trade areas as needed.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the public.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Additional Knowledge:
- Materials methods and tools used in the operation maintenance and repair of electrical systems
- Health and safety regulations procedures and safe work practices.
- Basic record-keeping techniques.
- Electrical terms materials and building circuits.
- Single- and three-phase motors kitchen heating ventilating and blower equipment.
- Portable hand tools stationary power tools and electrical distribution systems.
- National Electrical Code and Electrical Safety Orders.
- Electrical blueprints schematics and technical diagrams
- Test equipment such as ohmmeters voltmeters probes and monitors.
- Oral and written communication skills.
Additional Abilities:

- Plan design organize and coordinate electrical work.
- Use operate and maintain hand and power tools equipment and test instruments.

- Maintain accurate records and reports.
