Job Summary

Title: 2026 SESSION Audio Visual Technician

State Role Title:Information Systems Support I

Hiring Range: $31.00 per hour

Job Duties

Test the functionality of sound equipment prior to meetings including microphones. Set up and operate sound equipment when needed.
Monitor sound feeds to ensure quality.
Test and resolve equipment issues.
Assist House IT staff in the boot up and testing of Subcommittee or Committee voting tablets in advance of each meeting.
Responsible for initiating and ending live stream of Full Committee Meetings.
Responsible for monitoring automated lower third content on Live Stream as well as adding additional content where needed through camera controller interface.
Operate live stream camera controllers to insure correct camera feeds of meeting and professional presentation of live stream.

Minimum Qualifications

Skills Required
Strong computer skills required.
Excellent technical skills and familiarity with meeting room AV equipment needed.
Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical problems quickly.
The ability to stay cool under pressure and to work to tight deadlines.
Some experience operating a Chyron unit a plus.

Additional Considerations

This is a seasonal/hourly position for the 2026 Session of the House of Delegates. The position will begin on January 5 206 and will end on March 13 2026.
